Samsung has officially kicked off internal testing for the One UI 8.5 update on the Galaxy S25 FE, marking the device’s first appearance on the company’s official test servers. This move signals that Samsung is actively preparing the next major update for its Fan Edition lineup, although the chances of a public beta program remain slim.
According to tipster Tarun Vats, the Galaxy S25 FE was spotted running firmware version S731BXXU3BYLD across multiple regions, including India, Europe, South Korea, and Turkey. While this is an early internal build rather than the final version, its presence on the servers suggests the device remains a high priority for Samsung following its September 2025 launch with One UI 8.
As is tradition, Samsung typically excludes Fan Edition models from its beta programs, and the Galaxy S25 FE appears to be no exception. Currently, the One UI 8.5 Beta is only available for the main Galaxy S25 series in select markets like South Korea, Germany, the UK, and the US, with India and Poland expected to join in the coming weeks.
Built on Android 16 QPR2, One UI 8.5 focuses on interface refinements, enhancements to the Quick Panel, upgrades to the screen recorder, and design tweaks across various system apps. The stable update is expected to debut alongside the Galaxy S26 in early 2026 before rolling out to other eligible devices, including the S25 FE.
